Ensembles

The School of Music offers many ensembles for University of Illinois Students. All ensembles are open by audition to any current University of Illinois student regardless of major (some ensembles are open to communityy members - please see below). 


Ensembles Open to Community Members

Three of our ensembles are open to members of the community at large who may not be regularly enrolled students. Click the link below for information on the following:

  • Oratorio Society - A large chorus of students, facutly, staff and community members. Usually perform with orchestra in the Foellinger Great Hall.
  • Balinese Gamelan - Balinese percussion orchestra offered through the Robert E. Brown Center for World Music.
  • Balkanalia - An ensemble that studies and performs music of the Baltics.
