Bridget Benton

This is Bridget's first year on Staff at the U of I, in addition to her work in the School of Music she also teaches Graphic Skills for the Department of Theatre and is a Stage Manager in Residence at the Krannert Center. She is excited to parlay her stage management experience into this artistic administration position.
Bridget recently graduated with a MFA from the University of Illinois in Stage Management. Her U of I credits include stage manager of Florencia en el Amazonas, The Magic Flute, Kabuki Lady Macbeth, Rigoletto, Albert Herring, Misalliance and February Dance 2011 and assistant stage manager of The Hip-Hop Project: Insight into a Hip Hop Generation and A History of the American Film. Bridget interned at the Cincinnati Opera as a stage manager where she worked on Die Miestersinger von Nurnberg, Otello and The 90th Anniversary Gala. She has also worked at the Great River Shakespeare Festival, The Manhattan School of Music as well as at theatres in Leuven, Belgium and Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
