ISYM Music Technology 2009 |
||||||
Welcome! The Music Technology course is now in its fourth year of being offered as an ISYM elective. Class is taught in either one of the Computer-Assisted Music Instruction Laboratories in the University of Illinois Music Building. The course offers students the opportunity to learn that music technology extends beyond popular music notation software titles like Finale and Sibelius. Sequencing, digital audio editing, ear training, theory, accompaniment, analysis, and live performance software can bring both students and educators to a deeper and enriched underderstanding of music. Recent developments in software and hardware are continually making music technology more accessible, intuitive, and user-friendly for musicians of all ages and skill levels. Therefore, we at ISYM believe it is important for our campers to have an opportunity to learn about and creatively work with some of the newest tools available to musicians. Follow the links on the left side of this page to find files of student projects, find resources, and learn about our staff.
